Factual, balanced, operational intelligence for tour operators considering Israel

An independent information resource for international tour operators and travel professionals who need verifiable, up-to-date data to make informed decisions about organizing tours to Israel.

What this project is

The Israel Tourism Intelligence Hub (ITIH) is a dedicated information platform created for one clearly defined audience: international tour operators, travel agencies and destination managers who are evaluating whether and how to bring groups and travellers to Israel.

Planning inbound travel to Israel requires current, accurate and often operational information — entry and visa procedures, ground conditions, aviation and access, regional advisories, costs, seasonality and the practical state of tourism services. That information is scattered across government ministries, aviation and security authorities, industry bodies and international sources, and it changes quickly. The Hub brings the operationally relevant facts together in one place, in plain professional English, and shows where each data point comes from.

The Hub is a decision-support resource, not a marketing channel. Its purpose is to help professionals assess the destination accurately — including its constraints — rather than promote it uncritically.

Our mission

To give international tourism professionals a single, trustworthy and transparent source of operational intelligence about Israel — so decisions to organize, price and run tours rest on verifiable facts rather than rumour, outdated information or fragmented reporting.

  • Serve the operator’s decision. Every section is organized around the practical questions an operator actually asks.
  • Tell it straight. We present strengths and current challenges with equal candour.
  • Keep it current. The Hub is updated continuously and shows when each item was last reviewed.
  • Make it verifiable. Information is attributed to its primary source wherever possible.

Our commitment to transparency

  • Sourced and attributed — data points trace to official authorities, recognized industry bodies and primary records.
  • Time-stamped — information that can change is marked with its last-reviewed date.
  • Balanced — constraints and uncertainties are reported alongside opportunities.
  • Distinct from opinion — verified facts are kept separate from analysis.
  • Corrected openly — errors are fixed promptly and visibly.
  • Independent in judgement — editorial standards are not subordinated to promotion.

Who is behind the Hub

The Hub is an initiative of the Israel Incoming Tour Operators Association (IITOA). Founded in 1960, IITOA is the representative professional body for inbound tourism to Israel, comprising the majority of the companies that organize incoming tourism to the country. It represents the sector before government, the Knesset, the Ministry of Tourism and relevant national and international bodies.

This dual standing — close to the operational realities of the inbound trade and engaged at the policy level — lets the Association compile intelligence that is both practically grounded and authoritative, and put it at the service of its international partners in a transparent, openly sourced form.

Who this is for

  • Inbound tour operators and DMCs assessing Israel for new or returning programmes.
  • Travel agencies needing current operational and access information.
  • Industry partners — associations, carriers and trade media — seeking a reliable reference point.
