As of 17 August 2026, 12:45 Israel time, Israel’s tourism-relevant security posture remained OPERATE WITH ENHANCED PRECAUTIONS, driven by the standing elevated levels across all six monitored government advisories (US, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Canada), none of which had changed that day. Ben Gurion Airport was operating normally: the 14 August congestion event was confirmed resolved via IAA’s own same-day statement, and two brief civilian-drone airspace intrusions on 5 and 11 August were each resolved the same day with no lasting effect. No new terror attack, border incident, or safety-relevant development had been identified that day affecting Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, or any of the standard inbound-tourism circuits. The Qusra-village (south of Nablus) access situation remained unresolved. Ben Gurion Airport remained open and operating, served by 47 airlines (as of 2 August, via IAA/Calcalist-CTech, then 15 days stale). This edition was the first published under Engine v2.5 / Editorial Rule E-2, and was the edition that removed weather-driven content (Route 90, heat advisories) from the site and added the standing resilience statement.

Note on supersession

Two cycles followed the 17 August 12:45 edition above. The 18 August 08:10 cycle added two watch items (a Temple Mount/Al-Aqsa prayer-access easing and intensified Israel-Lebanon border strikes) with no status change; it was never published separately. The 19 August 06:00 cycle carries the core operator posture forward unchanged (OPERATE WITH ENHANCED PRECAUTIONS; ALERT_BULLETIN ALL_CLEAR) and adds: a legacy-ordnance explosion near Metula (18 Aug) that injured several foreign agricultural workers, continued/intensifying Israel-Lebanon border exchanges including an Israeli response to an attack on IDF personnel, and reconfirmation that the Temple Mount prayer-access easing and the Qusra-village situation remain unchanged.
